Candles

So here are some candles that 'Lil Guhl' and I made tonight. 'Boyson' tried his hand, but was over it in about 10 minutes so I finished his candle. I saw this idea in my Catholic Traditions craft book.
I glued a holy card to the candle with Modge Podge. Then we used small pins to attach the sequins to the candles.

I could see, with some practice and some beautiful holy cards, that these could make really nice gifts.

I printed this Miraculous Medal image off our printer, and I don't think it's very good. But this was sort of an impromptu craft, so I didn't have alot to choose from. That also explains the green and orange sequin leaves.

I think this one (that 'lil Guhl' did) turned out very nice. The holy card looks much nicer than the printed picture. She also did the halo with seed beads pushed in on the pins. Very cool! And with lots of other colors of beads, you could embellish other parts of the holy card, like the flowers, or the Sacred Heart.
