Simple Woman's Daybook

For Monday, January 5th, 2009

Outside My Window... Cold, not raining right now. We had another dusting of snow last night, but it is all gone now.

I am thinking... about what might inspire me during the dreary January days. I feel like I really ran out of steam after Christmas and just can’t get interested in anything right now.

I am thankful for... my friend Kristin who was happy to entertain me and my kids last Saturday when I was bored and lonely.

From the kitchen... Tacos for dinner tonight. Not too much happening in the kitchen right now.

I am wearing... ivory t-shirt, green corduroy button-up shirt, jeans; same as last time!

I am creating... nothing right now.

I am going... or I went . . . to have a haircut today.

I am reading... Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I am not very far into it, but it is getting interesting.

I am hoping... that some recent curriculum purchases will inspire our school time during these dreary January days.

I am hearing... the washing machine and the kids on the Wii.

Around the house... finishing up packing up the Christmas decorations. Husband took down the outside lights today. The nativity is still up but I think I will put it away this week so that all the boxes that are sitting out in the garage can be put back in the attic this week.

From the schoolroom . . . not much to tell here; although it was what I consider “a good day.”

One of my favorite things.... Jessica’s Blog

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: Not too much. Lil Guhl has speech therapy on Tuesday, and we have Little Flowers and PE Class on Friday morning. Husband’s birthday is Saturday, and my nephew’s 9th birthday party is next Sunday.

I don't have a picture thought right now . . .

Have a great week!

Aww!! Aren't you the sweetest! I enjoy your blog too.

I've been trying to talk my hubby into a Wii, with no luck, yet! We played on our friends this New Years and it was so much fun!

Have a great week!
