Simple Woman's Daybook

For Monday, January 19th, 2009

Outside My Window... Cold but clear sky and lots of sunshine. Just looking out there it looks like spring, but when you go out you know it is not.

I am thinking... that January sure is a boring month.

I am thankful for... my husband’s job.

From the kitchen... a couple of things on the menu this week are Chili and Cornbread, and Spaghetti.

I am wearing... my black workout pants, slippers, t-shirt and my Columbia fleece sweater. I am anticipating going to Curves this afternoon (in everything but the slippers!).

I am creating... nothing right now. I am feeling very uninspired.

I am going... to go to the library and pick up my next book (see below).

I am reading... Voyager by Diana Gabaldon (actually I will be starting it today – very excited!) It’s the third in a series, and I am embarrassed to admit that maybe I am little too into it! (Kristen, I can hear you laughing at me!).

I am hoping... that I will get a call this week for an interview for a part-time position that I applied for at our Library. It sounds like it might a good opportunity that would work well with our homeschooling schedule, but I am still tentative about working. We'll see.

I am hearing... the kids arguing over some Lego thing.

Around the house... laundry today! Need I say more!

From the schoolroom . . . trying to finish up the second quarter (we use Seton curriculum, mostly).

One of my favorite things.... My chocolate raspberry creamer in my morning coffee.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:

  • Speech Therapy for Lil Guhl,
  • swimming with the homeschool co-op,
  • maybe the homeschool support group meeting (if I feel like driving in),
  • Young Rembrandt’s Art Class on Wednesday, and
  • portraits for Lil Guhl on Thursday (we did Boyson’s last week).

Here is picture thought I am sharing..

This is my husband and the kids, on his birthday several days ago, after a long day of work. (Sorry about the picture baby!)

Happy belated birthday to your husband.

I was looking through the cupboards tonight to see what I could make this week (I've been avoiding grocery shopping!) and decided on Chili and Cornbread, and Spaghetti, so I laughed when I saw your plans!! =)

As for the font, the problem lies in your html. What I would do, is get rid of all the code (in Edit HTML) and reformat it, unless you knowthe code well enough to find the errors yourself. It would be hard to explain via comment, at least for me. It looks fine though!

Have a great week!
