Yesterday afternoon we drove to the coast for what promised to be an excellent "clam tide." It was very beautiful there when we arrived at around 3:00 p.m. The sun was peeking through in a few spots, although it was cold. Not long after being out on the beach the rain started coming down hard and the wind was really blowing. We weren't finding any clams, and it didn't seem like anyone out there on the beach was having any luck. The kids and I retreated to the van, while my husband stayed with his brother to look some more. There were none to be found. In the end, Boyson got one clam. But all was not lost: we had a nice fish & chips dinner at our favorite restaurant in the small oceanside town before driving home.
That big dinner probably won't help my Weight on Wednesday!

looks like you guys had fun anyway! It's supposed to be a great year for clamming and crabbing. We went crabbing a few weeks ago and did pretty well. Hope to see you guys this weekend! I'll try to remember to bring a picture from our trip to Disney. Our youngest looked exactly like lil gurl back then.
