Simple Woman's Daybook

For Monday, February 23rd, 2009

Outside My Window... rain. It is really raining a lot today, and very hard at times.

I am thinking... about the conference in May. I would really like to go, and our last Little Flowers meeting is on that Friday ending at about 11:30 a.m., and I am trying to think of a way to finagle it all!

I am thankful for. . . my husband's job.

From the kitchen... we will be making pretzels for Ash Wednesday this week. I will post more on that then.

I am wearing... jeans, a white turtleneck and my pink pullover sweater.

I am creating... not really creating, but printing pages for the Lenten Faith Folders that we are making.

I am going... to my oldest daughter’s ‘pinning ceremony’ for Mary Kay tonight.

I am reading... nothing right now. I need to find a book.

I am hoping... that my plans for Lent aren’t too over-zealous. Maybe it’s not the plans, but the preparation that feels like a lot.

I am hearing... the dishwasher and Boyson vacuuming.

Around the house . . . no news here.

From the schoolroom . . . well, Lent of course. The focus of our week is the beginning of Lent.

One of my favorite things . . . . when we have a good school day, like today.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:

· Science Class for Boyson

· A friend’s birthday party

· Speech Therapy for Lil Guhl

· Ash Wednesday Mass

· PE Class

· And “The Great Electrifying Event” at a dam about an hour from our house.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing...

This is one of our rabbits. Her name is Cotton. Lil Guhl took this picture.

Have a fabulous week everyone!
