Before Buffy-chicken even had a chance to realize she was home again, we were off for a one night camping trip with our good friends, the McD's. We went to a small county campground about 20 minutes from our house. This one-nighter was a new adventure for us and it forced us to travel lite. You see, when we camp, we take everything including the kitchen sink. We usually stay for 3-4 nights and have most of the comforts of home, even a heater in our tent. This time we managed to fit everything and everyone into the pickup, including old Katy-dog who has never camped before. She did great, but was plenty pooped for an old girl. We are hoping that the McD's are proud of us for being able to not lug along all our usual junk!
Anyways, this campground has a creek running through it, and the kids spent most of their time down there playing in the water.
