Timber!

On the next street over from ours, there are some very large poplar trees. They are probably about 100 feet tall. Over the past week or so, there has been a crew out there working on removing these humongous trees. This morning, the crew returned to cut down one of the trees. There is a large empty lot next to our house so we had the opportunity to stand out there and watch them cut and fall this huge tree! (The low sun was hitting the camera and caused that glare you see).

We felt the ground shake when it landed, and it left quite a large divot. We walked over there to talk to the guys afterwards, and my husband was quite impressed with the size of their chainsaw! It was over 6 feet long!
