Remember my little end table?
Here's the before:
Here's the after:
I love, love, love, this drawer pull!
I am pretty happy with the way this turned out. I wish the wood top was a little less orange, but it was the stain we had on hand. I also used the paint that was left over from painting Boyson's room last summer, so considering that I didn't have to buy any supplies, it turned out well. It was very fun to have a little project to work on.
I have never done anything like this before and here is what I learned:
- Sanding is very messy, and there can lots of steps.
- Staining and varnishing is harder than it looks - I don't know if I would opt for that again. It was an exercise in my patience.
- Painting furniture is harder than it looks - some of the nooks and crannies are hard to get.
- My husband is a huge help with all his suggestions and advice, and thank goodness for all his tools and supplies.
- I would do this again.
Now, if I could just find someplace to put it! Truly, I don't know where in my house this will go - I might have to get creative. Or sell it!
