My Daybook

FOR TODAY - March 6, 2012

Outside my window... we woke up to another light dusting of snow this morning.  It is pretty, and I like the snow, but I am really ready for spring.  It is March, for crying out loud.

I am wondering... if there really is a house out there for us.  We have looked at quite a few houses in the past 2 months, and all are "no's" for any variety of reasons.  We came close with one house, but it was a no-go, thanks to the well.  Anyways, the house hunting is tiring and overwhelming, and I am starting to wonder if there is a house out there for us.

I am thankful... for nothing on the calendar today to interfere with school.  I have been shirking my responsibilities in this arena (for a variety of reasons - not just because of busyness).  So a day without interruptions has been helpful to get back on track and for me to spend some time helping the kids with their assignments.

In the kitchen... my husband went and got a Bacon Cheeseburger pizza for lunch today.  We saw it advertised on TV and he wanted to try it.  I didn't think it looked very good, but it was actually not bad.

I am wearing... black workout pants (not for working out, just for comfort!), and a black t-shirt.

I am going... to book club tonight.  I did not like last month's book, and did not even end up reading it.  I guess I am going for the company and the snacks.

I am reading... book report books - just trying to keep up with the kids' schoolwork.

I am hoping... to lose a few pounds.  I was doing so well for awhile, but a few pounds seem to have returned.  So I need to get with the program again.  You would think with it being Lent that it would be easy - apparently not.

I am looking forward to...spring.  Enough with the cold, wintry weather already.

Around the house... cleaning, cleaning, cleaning.  Always cleaning.

One of my favorite things... when my husband cleans the garage!

A few plans for the rest of the week:
  • Piano for Lil Guhl
  • PE Class for Boyson
  • Stations of the Cross and Children's Adoration

A peek into my day... (well, a few days ago)...
Not a very good picture - but this is my son-in-law in his bull fighting persona.
