I am thinking... about school.
I am thankful... for the nicer weather we have finally been having. We've been able to get outside.
In the kitchen... I made Pioneer Woman's Whiskey-Mustard Meatballs for dinner last night. They fell a little short of my expectations. Sorry, P-Dub.
I am wearing... jeans and a pink t-shirt.
I am going... to look at a house today. The first we've looked at in about a month. I don't have high hopes about this one, but you never know.
I am wondering... if our little naked chick will ever have very many feathers! We have one chick that isn't growing feathers. All the others are fully feathered - and she still has quite a bit of her chick-fuzz and only a few feathers. Her body is growing. She is quite ugly - poor little thing. But, she doesn't seem any worse for wear. Weird!
I am reading.. The Dry Grass of August by Anna Jean Mayhew.
I am looking forward to... our mini-vacation to the beach in a couple of weeks. We rented a house and my daughter and her husband are coming with us. It should be fun!
From the schoolroom... we are into the 4th quarter! Feels great to be on the home stretch. Lil Guhl will actually be finishing a couple of her subjects before the end of the month.
Around the house... Lil Guhl's room makeover is complete. I am happy with the way it turned out, and she loves it. It is the first time a room has been done just for her. It is amazing how much cleaner and fresher a coat of paint can make things look. Her room really needed it, too. The last time we painted was when we were preparing the room for when Boyson was born.
One of my favorite things... that Boyson is such a big help around the house now. I love being able to ask him to do all those "manly" things that men should do. He can move wood, mow the lawn, clean the chicken coop, work the power tools, etc.
A few plans for the rest of the week:
- volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul
- Dentist appointments for the kids
- Piano lesson for Lil Guhl
- Lego Robotics Class for Boyson
A picture thought I am sharing...
