The other night we went to the All-Comer's Track Meet in a neighboring city. They hold this every summer, one night a week for about six weeks. The best part: it's free. Anyone can come and try their hand at all the track and field events. We've taken our kids for the past couple of years, although we don't make it to every meet. Here's a few shots of Lil Guhl taking part in the action.
Long Jump: She got first place for her age group by jumping 10'11".
200 meter: She took second place. She is in lane 6!
Shot put: She didn't place, but got a participation ribbon
And the Turbo Jav: she didn't place here either but got a participation ribbon.
She also placed third in the discus, but I didn't get a picture.
We went for ice cream afterwards as it was a very hot day!
Good job Lil Guhl!
