So we had our second 4-H poultry club meeting of the year today. We had decided some time ago to buy a bantam chicken or two for Lil Guhl. She really is not able to handle the big hens for showmanship at the fair. So today we came home with these two little biddies - Bantam Old English Game Hens.

Lil Guhl named hers Peach. The verdict is still out on the name for the other one.

Totally cute (chickens and girl). We've just learned that Buff Orpintons lay during the winter, so since we don't show ours, we'd like to acquire those next time!
