I am just amazed at this point of how severe this storm has been today. We are at about 6 1/2 inches of snow tonight (it's only 5:00 and there are a few more hours of snow on the way). It's 24 degrees. We just don't get this kind of snow here very often. The last storm like this was 5 years ago; we got about 4 inches of snow then.

This is the front of our house with our lights on. I don't know if you can see it or not, but the string of lights running near the ground is half buried under the snow! You can see a small portion of them to left side of the picture.
