Snow Update

Well folks, it is still snowing here and has been off and on since Saturday morning! It has been absolutely incredible for us Oregonians who are so not used to this level of snow storm. The last time we had a snow storm of this caliber in December was in 1968 when there was 15 inches of snow! The latest measurement is 12 inches here at our house, and the temperature is currently 26 degrees.

Here are 'my girls' almost buried in their new igloo! The chickens don't like the snow, and have been hanging out in their small covered area for a week! They have a 'courtyard' to come out into, but they don't like the snow at all. Even when there was only an inch or two.

This is shot of our backyard, and you can see my park bench. The snow is almost up to the seat!

And here is a shot of our neighbor's bug car. It's been parked in this spot since before all this snow started last week. I have been watching it for a few days, and as of this morning it is almost completely buried in the snow!

And finally, a picture I took from our front porch. Our Christmas lights, which are on some stakes in the ground, are nearly buried!
